Help on Mandrake 9.2 Regarding Resolutions


Hi there guys,

As i said i wanted to install Mandrake 9.2.. yes.. i've finally done it.But theres just some problems which i'm encountering Seems like the Fonts on my screen looks jerky..its like not smooth.And the icons have sharp edges.Well..its kinda hard for me to explain..i'll try take a screen shot and show u guys.And one more thing,gees.. i dont know how to explain this but.. the Screen.. doesnt seems to be in place.. i need to adjust the alignment of the sreen on my monitor to fit in,its like more to the right hand side and now i've got to adjust it for mandrake and then adjust my monitor again for my windows98.Anyone mind to help me out?

Oh yea.. i forgot to mention i'm using a winfast Geforce 2.

Pc Specs :-
Pentium3 850Mhz,
128SDRAM, 20gig HDD, Geforce 2, AC'97 built-in audio.

Upgrade to Mandrake 10 - it should resolve your font / monitor issues. If not, post again.

If you havnt tried yet
start>system configuration>configure your computer should take you to the mandrake control center.
once there choose hardware. then you can play with your resolution, monitor, and graphical server.

So far I'm really lovin Mandrake 10, even though I liked 9.2 it was kind of thought of as buggy till you get the updates.
