Well, since you don't say what the 'bug' was, what webiste, or anything about your hardware, there's not alot we can do. We can't guess as to what's wrong.
And to answer your second question, no, you can't install Windows after Linux. Windows doesn't like to share, and it's a shortcoming in how Windows loads and boots.
