Help installing from floppy

I have a nVidia 5200 graphics card. I have recently found out that in order to use Red Hat 9 I need to install in text mode and then install the nVidia driver after installation. I downloaded the linux drivers for my nVidia card on another computer and saved it on a floppy diskette. The other posts that I read assumed that I know how to use the correct command and they also assume that I know how to navigate, in text mode, to the floppy drive to run the driver. Can you please help me to navigate to the floppy drive so I can install the driver in text mode. Thank you.

well you first have to mount the floppy ... you can look at your /etc/fstab file to see where you have your mount point at, but typically this command will work ..
mount /mnt/floppy
and then you can type :
cd /mnt/floppy
to go to the contents of the floppy drive ...

as of what you were told, you were kinda misled .. you do not have to install in text mode because mostly all distros (especially if they are recent) have a generic nvidia driver which you would have picked, and you could have used your GUI ... the only reason for the nvidia drivers is to get 3d acceleration out of your card ...

anyways, here are instructions for installing the drivers ... its in step by step format ...

any other questions just ask ...
