Help In Fedora 9


Sir, I am using fedora 9 only from two days. I am new user i had some problems Pls. Help me.

1. How to connect Fedora Linux from windows xp
2. How to share folder in Fedora 9.
3. How to know computer Name and workgroup for Newtorking.
4. Ipconfig not working.
5. How to share Fedora Harddisk.
6. How to find device manager.
7. Utorrent for fedora.
8. Whenever i connect windows shasre folder it gets mount but when i log off or restart computer it again gets disable.
9. How to create shortcut of window Share folder in Fedora.

The answer to most of your questions is to set up Samba. This is the Linux implementation of the Windows file and print sharing system.

ipconfig is ifconfig on Linux.
There's no device manager, although there may be something similar in the Control Center.
There's plenty of bittorrent clients for Linux, have a look in the package manager in your menu.

Please note, Linux is not Windows. Don't expect _anything_ you know from Windows to work the same (we've generally got a better way to do things).

Also, this is a public forum - the idea is to discuss in public, so we don't generally do private email discussions.
