Hi and welcome to LQ.

You need to be clearer what you need help with and provide more information.
1. What model of Acer One is that?
2. Which version of Linux is that? (This might be difficult for you to find out if you're not familiar with Linux)
3. Can you connect to the internet with your T-Mobile dongle?
4. What is the problem? Is it slow? What is slow - the system or the internet connection? Can you connect it using wifi or a cable? Is it still slow?
5. What do you mean it won't let you type anything?
6. Which version of flash player did you download and how did you install it?

If you provide the answers to the above, it'll be a good start.

The easiest way to find out what version of linux you are running is to run the following commands in a terminal (it is almost certainley possible to find from the GUI but without knwoing what your running I can't tell you how.)

Code:
uname -a

cat /proc/version
Then post the output here.

Please do not use titles like "help", in this case a better title would have been "Help using Acer One (New to Linux)". This will help other users direct there attention towards your problems.

Welcome to LQ and Linux in general.

Also what might be on this is "Linpus Light"
It is an old and unsupported mangled version of a now DEAD operating system ( fedora 6)
Acer decided to make these "netbooks" an appliance .And you do not install new software on a toaster .

knowing the exact make and model will help .

Welcome to the forums!

Buyer beware! There is a reason these are so cheap on eBay. If your Acer is running Linpus Lite, you'll probably need to completely reinstall Linux or Windows XP to make it usable. If installing and configuring an operating system isn't your cup of tea, I recommend to return the Acer (if possible) and purchase an inexpensive Windows-preinstalled machine, such as this $299 Dell: http://www.dell.com/us/p/popular-lap...&ref=hp1&s=dhs
