GRUB--> how to preserve old installed OS-s

I am trying to install Linux Slackware and I want to preserve Arch Linux. However, whenever I install a new os, it always deletes all the previous ones from the boot menu.

How can I prevent this from happening?

Thanks for your time.

Shouldn't - if you install to new partitions. At least with grub.
Obviously if you install over the top of the previous distro (i.e. use the same partition{s}), things will get over-written.

Explain in more detail.

You have to not install a boot loader in the subsequent installs. Then, after you do an install, boot the first os you installed and reinstall the boot loader if necessary. That should pick up anything new.
