One patch will add changes to some files, say
common/packet.h queue/priqueue.h queue/priqueue.cc
tcl/lib/ns-lib.tcl tcl/lib/ns-default.tcl tcl/lib/ns-packet.tcl .

And the next patch may undo those first changes,
and even add something that conflicts with
the functions intended in the first patch.

A few patches are meant to live together.
Or at least have no conflicts.
Most others not.

Which patches are you talking about ? ?
GPSR-hls or GPSR-KeLiu ?

Your text in post #1 is a quotation of an answer,
from somebody asking to add several patches at the same time.
Which can be done by e.g. creating a new patch :
With two or three extra protocols to add to ns2.

Example, multiple additional protocols :
GPSR-hls + LAR → gpsr.hls+lar_ns233-files-3.tar.gz

* So please tell what it is you want to add together with "GPSR-unknown"
