I am a Kali user with a Gnome desktop. Today, with the excitement of a different interface, I switched from Gnome to the KDE desktop. After resetting my computer, I selected Kali as usual in the group interface, but Kali Linux did not open. I waited a while but the situation did not change. Can you help me?
Note: I apologize for the translation as my English is not good, I used Gemini AI to translate.
that this computer may be dual boot. In that case, if you can still boot into the other OS, you could try mounting the Kali partition and look at the log files in /var/log. Otherwise, you could try booting to a Live CD/USB of something and accessing the log files. I'd start with /var/log/boot.log, if such a file is present.
You should be able to select either the Gnome or KDE desktop when you boot Kali so maybe more details on what you specifically did would help someone to help you. Also, what does 'group interface' mean? Are you referring to a boot menu or something else?
