GNOME desktop in PDC

There is one RedHat 4 server with no desktop environment (KDE or Gnome) installed that I want to use as a domain controller. I Installed all necessary applications only to find out that DC in command line is nearly impossible to manage.
Anybody with any ideas on how to install GNOME desktop? I've been searching everywhere for a GNOME package but it looks like quite a few packages have to be installed for a GNOME desktop. Any help regarding how to install Gnome or check what desktop is installed by default?

Running startx command gives this output

I managed to get into KDE desktop a few days ago..but it started giving this message after 1 logon. Also is there any application in KDE that will provide a nice GUI for Domain Controller service?

Try to install the "fixed" font, as stated by Xorg. It needs that to start.
