glibc 2.3 installation

Hello,

First I am on a RetHat 8.0

I try to install new programs but at the end I have the same lib dependencies I need glibc 2.3.2. So I try to install the RPM, but I can't because I have a conflict.
So I decide to compile the glibc 2.3.2 but it is not as easy as it seems.

I make (I think) exactly what they say in the manual. I make a directory "/src/gnu/glibc-2.3" where I put sources then I make a directory "/src/gnu/glibc-build".
Then I go to the "/src/gnu/glibc-build" directory and type "../glibc-2.3/configure --enable-add-ons".
I can see lots of stuff on the screen. Nothing seems to be wrong.
When it is finished, I type "make" and I have the following error (in French)
"make: *** Pas de cibles spécifiées et aucun makefile n'a été trouvé. Arrêt.
" --> "make: *** No specified target and no makefile was found. Stop.".

Any Help ?

Regards.

Path

I think you need to add a path to the makefile...

like make /makefiles/aix,linux and etc.

Hope this helps...

Cheers, Zegos
