Question Get Grub back -- Help plz [Done]

Hi everyone !

here i am again, another critical question (i cant boot linux anymore).

here is what i did :

after a human-error with fdisk (i tried to delete a partition), and a reboot

i went on the cli of grub. not knowing what to do, i went back to Dos and i did a fixmbr in order to be able to use my computer.

The fixmbr worked, and i can now boot W$XP. But what i'd like is to get my grub back and boot linux again !!

what could i do to get grub back ?

put the rh9 installation cd and re-install grub ? i don't want to harm my previous installation (datas to be stored).

if anyone could help...
thx

Boot with yor rh9 CD and select rescue mode, once inside the rescue mode shell type "chroot /mnt/sysimage"
Then if hda is your first boot device type "/sbin/grub-install /dev/hda" to reinstall GRUB into the MBR.

hi all !

Demonbane, i tried what you said, i got the prompt and tried a grub-install, but it couldn't find some dependancies.

So i "cd" to some directories inorder to find what was going on, and i found :

i don't have /usr anymore... sure it wont works without that

so i guess i have to reinstall my system.

i think i will switch to debian in order to get more in the depth (with my doing-mess skills, i guess this will be a lot of fun )

thank you for your help guys !
