general user creation issue

I'm running RH 8.0 with GNOME desktop. smbd 2.2.7

I am trying to make a user with "useradd" with the name "Administrator" on my linux box which is acting as my smbd. The reason I'm doing this is for compatibility issues with samba so that when someone logs in as that on a Windows box they can get in with smb security set to "user."

But when I try and create the user "Administrator" with the capitol A on my linux box it won't allow it. Is there a way around this to where I can put a capitol letter or another way?

What's the error? Do you already have a user created with that username, maybe for services, etc? cat /etc/passwd

No, there is no user with that name. I was using the command line "useradd" then I used redhat's GUI user/group API. It gave me this response for both "Administrator" and "Mom"

--The user name 'Administrator' contains uppercase characters. Please do not use uppercase characters in the user name. Then it wouldn't let me continue.
