hi,

i use redhat v 5.3. yum is ok on my laptop. but when i try to install gcc compiler, it shows many dependencies. but normally it is not supposed to show any dependency while installing with YUM...but i can install other package with yum. SO is there any solution for it...???

I think you'll need to post the output of "yum install gcc" (or similar) if you want help.

Are you reporting that your problem is now solved? Or, do you have a question to ask?
