gcc installling..
while installing tar.gz2 file, I encountered problem in form of this 'no acceptable C compiler found in $PATH-See `config.log' for more details'--so I have downloaded on an advice from the forum to install 'gcc' but whil instaling following comand were given to be executed.
sed -i 's/install_to_$(INSTALL_DEST) //' libiberty/Makefile.in &&
sed -i 's@\./fixinc\.sh@-c true@' gcc/Makefile.in &&
mkdir ../gcc-build &&
cd ../gcc-build &&
../gcc-4.0.3/configure \
--prefix=/usr \
--libexecdir=/usr/lib \
--enable-shared \
--enable-threads=posix \
--enable-__cxa_atexit \
--enable-clocale=gnu \
--enable-languages=c,c++,objc,f95,ada,java,treelang &&
make bootstrap &&
make -k check &&
../gcc-4.0.3/contrib/test_summary
How to execute these command...
