Gaming: Steam on linux

Good day

I am as the thread inclines a Linux noob. I have been watching Chris Titus on YouTube and I am pretty much exited to game on Linux. I installed Manjaro I have steam and Lutris. I even have custom proton builds.

However I have one concern. How would I know that steam is using the correct GPU? Unfortunately I only have one computer. It is an hp pavilion dv6 and it comes with an AMD Radeon HD 6770m switchable GPU. This already seemed o pose a problem in windows 10. I know there are some Steam settings I could tweak like setting launch options. Is there a way to set a launch option to specifically use the AMD GPU?

Hello there and welcome to LQ

I see on the AMD website there appears to be a driver available for your hardware.

https://www.amd.com/en/support/graph...adeon-hd-6770m

Have you followed the installation instructions and installed the drivers correctly?

[QUOTE=Ferrator;6098067]Good day

I don't understand why people use Linux operating system. The whole of my life I used Windows because it is more comfortable for gaming, and there are a lot of video games that are Microsoft exclusive. For example, I can't play my favorite games like Forza Horizon, Hallo, Diablo, and Tomb Raider. And I say that is hard to find games because you can't use different sites to buy games, only steam. Personally, I buy all the games om www.cdkeysforgames.com because there are a lot of discounts and the games are licensed, the games are saved in the Steam library but they are cheaper
