gaim doesn't show icq partner ip?

I was just wondering if there was any way to find out the ip address of the person I am currently chatting via icq with, since my old winxp icq client did show that info when I requested the details of my chat partner, but gaim doesn't seem to do that.

Anyone knows if this is normal? And anyone knows if there is a way to get the ip address with gaim?

Regards

Whizz

I don't know much about ICQ, but typically you have to establish a direct connection to the person, i.e. transfer a file, to find out the other person's IP. You could use netstat -t to find out the IP of the person you are connected to.
