freenx client setup issue (remote connection over internet)

Hello everyone,

I'm currently using freenx over LAN - which works flawless by the way

Now I'm trying to establish a remote connection over the web:

Code:

                                                         --- [PC Nr.A]
[nx client laptop] --- [web] --- [firewall] --- [switch] --- [PC Nr.x]
                                                         --- [...]

I want to connect to PC Nr.A
(lets assume that PC Nr.A's IP is 192.168.1.1 and my IP (assign from my ISP) is 88.88.88.88

What do I type in the host field in nx's configuration 88.88.88.88:192.168.1.1?

This doesn't work

What's the correct syntax?

Probably the WAN IP address of your firewall and its the port number for the NX server:

88.88.88.88:portnum

That portnum needs to be port forwarded in your firewall to the NX server.

Thank you for you input Mr. C.
FreeNX uses ssh (Port 22) by default. I did make a rule in my firewall forwarding port22. Unfortunately that didn't do the trick.
