Actually, NOT easy. "format my SUSE" is totally ambiguous....
Do you have SUSE installed and running?
What exactly do you want to format? A hard drive?

i have a dual booting , win98 and suse ,
and i want to erase suse , and eventually replace it with FC4

You did not answer my question.....I will guess: You want to format the hard drive so you can install FC4.

The installer will do all of this automatically. Boot up with the install CD and follow the instructions.

Just repartition your drive when installing FC4.

u want format the partition containing SUSE and use the same partition for FC4 if yeah then dont do anything just put FC4 cd , it must ask 4 a place for / partition , selsect thse SAME SUSE partition and allow it to format it even if it says that it contains another distro bla bla bla ...
