Question First Linux install Suse 9.3 no video

Hi All:

Just installed Suse9.3 successfully, restarted a few times fine.
Then started mucking about the impressive KDE desktop. Tried to set my monitor to a KDS 21". Ever since then my GUI screen is blank.

I rebooted the PC and went into "safe mode".
Now I am at a command prompt logged in as root and could use some help in getting my GUI video working again.

Keep in mind that I am a Linux Noob and have never used a Linux command prompt before.

Thanks all

since it's SuSE,there is an extremely easy solution.......as root, just type "sax2" and go through the configuration.just use the H and V frequencies from your kds manual when it asks for them.
