Find folder creation time

Hi.

I'd like to find the time at which one of my linux folders were created. Is there a way to do this? I gave "ls --time=ctime /path/to/" a try, but as far as I can tell this doesn't give me the correct time.

Regards,
kenneho

Well, in the most common filesystem for linux (ext3) the creation time is not stored anywhere. The ctime you cited above is the "change time" that is the time at which the inode changed.
