File Transfer

I need to know how i can transfer large Gb's of files from my main PC to my laptop. Now I cannot use the Internet, because I cannot get onto the Internet on my laptop, and I can't afford buying Gb USBs/SD cards or CD-R/CD-RW. What other option is there?

Any suggestion will be much appreciated

You could establish a direct network between your PC and laptop, either wired or wireless.
Then you can simply use (s)ftp, scp or mount the disk and copy the data via regular cp.

Any kind of network connection will do, but I'd keep an eye on performance, if I were you...

And I need to know why people feel they have to ignore
rules they agreed to and double post all the time...

Please do not post a thread on the same topic more than once. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
