File searching by size range?

Are there any programs that let you search for files by size range if you don't know the filename or creation info? For example, say all I know is the file is between 5 and 10meg. I've seen Recoll and Catfish, but they don't seem to be what I need.
I am a complete newb and not very confident using the terminal, but I'm pretty sure it could be done there.

Welcome to LQ!

What you need is the find command.

For options see the find manual page, open a terminal and type man find.

For your example something like this should do...

Code:
find /path/to/search -size +5M -size -10M
