Fedora wont play any sounds

i have a soundblaster audigy 2 ZS which when i go to Kinfocenter in fedora (under system tools) it shows that fedora correctly detects what it is. However when i select automatically detect sound card, it finds the card, then goes to play the test sound, but i hear nothing (speakers are up)

any ideas

..i went on creative's website and they have no drivers for the audigy 2 zs

Open a terminal, run alsamixer.
Make sure none of the channels are muted.
If that doesn't work, report back.

that still did not work, all of the channels are turned up

may one channel is muted in alsamixer

do you use the analog output? or do you use the digitaly output, like SPDIF?
