Fedora Core, not installing mpeg codecs


it seems its not installing the proper codecs so i can watch videos and listen to mp3s, ive tried to uninstall xmms with out sucess, it says this when i do

Code:
[root@localhost dosbox-0.60]# rpm -e xmms
error: Failed dependencies:
        libxmms.so.1 is needed by (installed) kdeaddons-3.1.4-2
[root@localhost dosbox-0.60]#
any suggestions, ive even tried compiling without succcess

big thanks man, i just upgraded xmms to fix the codec problem, i wonder why there were licensing problems with mp3s

The mp3 codec isn't open source.
