FC4 DHCP Configuration to eth0

Can anyone help me out at connecting my network card to DHCP.
When I type ifconfig eth0 up, I receive no errors. So the card is working. I just can't get an IP address. When I type ifconfig or ifconfig -a, I still get 127.0.0.1 as my IP address. How do I configure my network card to use dhcp.

it is possible that your your network may not have been initialized

go to /etc/init.d/

and type ./network start as root which will initialize eth0

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
