Fatal server error: no screens found

OK I've spent the whole day getting these ISOs loaded and making my install boot disk, ewtc etc.

The install completed, I set up my user name now when I run startx I get the :Fatal server error: no screens found.

I am so lost at this point.
I have looked up the message in Google and it sais it is a very generic message and to check the log file "/var/log/XFree86.0.log"
Which I have no clue how to check.
Does anyone know the best logical steo to take to get th GUI up and running.

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
