Hi Chanaman! Since this morning, I'm overwhelmed with difficulties. I was going to reply to your mail only now. Since you're here, I won't need.

It seems you and rogerdean want the same thing, except you're a little ahead. For your problem, I assume you set PREFIX to
/home/(your login)/libmatchbox-1.3/libmb
and you seem to want to install matchbox in
/usr/local

That is very strange. I'd rather install all to /usr/local. But it's your choice. Know, however, that I tried installing every package to its own prefix, and then link everything to /usr/local. It did *not* work. It seems that at least the panel, the desktop, the window-manager and common need to be installed in the same prefix. That being said, you would indeed need to do that:

export PKG_CONFIG_PATH=/home/(your login)/libmatchbox-1.3/libmb/lib/pkgconfig:$PKG_CONFIG_PATH

Now for the PM problem: let's go on with my home-page's email: gablin@fr.fm
So rogerdean, you'll have to use this email. I tried going to my PM profile, and I was denied access. It seems it needs to be activated (do I have to pay?)

If you don't mind, I might answer your questions to both of you (hiding email address if you want), so that both benefit from the answers. I'm going home in a few minutes, and then I'll wait Note however, that I have home-work this weekend, so I won't read the mail every 5 minutes, all the more because I have a simple 56K modem.

Yves.
