Installing with WUBI huh!
First thing came to mind was that perhap you were installing Ubuntu 64BIT on Windows 32BIT but you said you have W7 64BIT so that shouldnt be the problem.

The other thing came to mind was that perhaps you were allocating not enought GB to the Ubuntu partition during installation?

Did you download WUBI and run its exe file from your desktop or did you actually burned the ISO to a cd or a USB?

Have you been able to run the install media in live mode without installing it? You should try just to boot from the liveCD or USB jut to make sure everything works

Other than that nothing else comes to mind. Good luck to you!
