Enabling ports for samba

Hi All,
Just wondering if someone can help me learn to enable ports on my firewall for SAMBA?

Trying to enable ports 137-139 but I haven't a clue! I'm running SuSE 9.1.

Thanks,
Toadoy

Try
Code:
iptables -A INPUT -s x.x.x.x -p tcp --dports 137,138,139 -m state --state NEW -j ACCEPT
where x.x.x.x is the IP address of the machine that wants to connect to Samba. There's probably a GUI configuration program, but I've never used SuSE.

Thanks

Thanks but I got different problems. Did an update on the Linux box through SuSE's update and now I can't get my lt modem to work. It keeps telling me there is no such device. Arrrrrgh!!!

Thanks again,
Toadoy

login as root and at the console execute depmode command - haven't tried that yet but seems like the only solution that I have found for this problem after kernel upgrade
