First of all, I'm a MCSE and used to Microsoft Exchange, so excuse the stupid questions please

I have a debian box basically just running as a webserver(php, mysql, apache). I accidently set it up correctly enough to send and receive email via Mutt. So as a stand alone box everything is running tip top. But I want to be able to receive email remotely. I have Exim running as the MTA. Do I need to install a IMAP server or a POP3 server or are these built in. If I do, what do you recommend to host email??? I'm cool with POP3 or IMAP, or even web based for that matter. Thanks for any help on this.

I would recommend using Courier-imap. You can download it from sourceforge.
