I am setting up a new website on my (new) Linux Pro server ... I simply need to create an email catchall that will forward any incoming email to that virtual site to a (yahoo) account of my choice ... ie

<anything>@mywebsite.com -> myaccount@yahoo.com

Can anybody advise the correct steps to setup such a facility?

If your wanting to do all of this from your new server running as a mail server, then you will have to configure sendmail (or the MTA) of your choice and set up forwarding. I use sendmail so I can speak only from that viewpoint. In sendmail, you simply create a .forward file in whomever's home directory and tell sendmail to enable forwarding. There is quite a bit more to it than that but that is basically how it gets done in sendmail. I would research your options as far as a MTA and make a choice that you feel comfortable with and then take the leap. I can guarantee that it will be a learning experience. But have fun when you are doing it!! If you get hung up when trying to configure, come back here and repost.
