Easiest distro to use for webhosting?

Hi all

I'm a newb to Linux but i'm slowly starting to get to know the basics. I'm looking for what would be the easiest distro to run an Apache webserver on. I currently have Ubuntu as well as Fedora Core release 2. I've been told it's pretty much the same across all distros but just looking to make this as simple as possible.

Appreciate any help.

Thanks.

Hi,

My 'list' looks like this:

SuSe 10 Eval. (it runs unlimited)
Mandriva 2006 Free
Fedora Core 4

If you want a (little) challenge you can always go for Debian Sarge. It's worth the effort, because its rock stable and easy to maintain

They're pretty much all the same because with practically any distribution you will be ignoring the GUI and editing .conf files by hand.

would suggest mandriva first because of the ease when starting with linux.
but yes agree with previous posts.

Some alternatives webhosting / webserver: centOS, clarkconnect
Linux is all about the freedom (to try, to test and see which distro suits you)
