Downloading huge file


Hi

I just want to download a file of 40g but when i micro deconnection appear i've to re-download the whole file.

Do someone have an idea to download a file in several times with ubuntu?

From where are you downloading? If you can't donwload via torrent than you need to get somthing that allows download resume. Probably you firefox/chromium-browser is to old?

man wget
In particular, the -c option allows you to (c)ontinue downloading a partially downloaded file.

Some ftp sites can recover and some sites don't even know they added it. Try the ftp address instead of http.

There are a few download managers available. Search for download manager linux.

Some sites support rsync.
