Do I have an IRQ conflict?

The sound of my system is not working. This started after I installed (and then uninstalled) a sound card. The mobo has sound. Perhaps installing the sound card caused a conflict with "onboard sound?"

cat /proc/interrupts:

0: 28502 XT-PIC timer
1: 155 XT-PIC keyboard
2: 0 XT-PIC cascade
8: 4 XT-PIC rtc
9: 42 XT-PIC usb-uhci, eth0
12: 633 XT-PIC PS/2 Mouse
14: 10551 XT-PIC ide0
NMI: 0
LOC: 28469

I'm wondering if the "usb-uhci, eth0" indicates a conflict @ IRQ 9? I've always conceptualized ethernet devices as serial not USB devices.

Thanks all for reading this far!

Sorry the spacing of the cat /proc/interrupts didn't post the sams way as it did in the preview

Perhaps this will be clearer:

0..... timer
1..... keyboard
2..... cascade
8..... rtc
9..... usb-uhci, eth0
12.... PS/2 Mouse
14.... ide0

Check your log files. The info relating to the card will be in /var/log/dmesg or messages. Should tell you what's happenning.
