Did you try VirtualBox yet?

Just download it and install Linux on it. It's not such a big deal, especially if it's just for playing around.

Yep, I eventually used VirtualBox and thank you for recommending it in first place! It was easiest and most straightforward to install of them all. I was trying VMware, but it continued to hand after yellow screen during the installation. I really have nether time nor skills for troubleshooting it and turned to VirtualBox.
