device driver


Hello friends....
I am writing a scsi device driver.....wen i try to insert the module....computer hangs.....i need to restart.....so i cant even put printk to check the program...plz help me guys....

How can we help you? You wrote this program/driver; why not put something in it to print messages as it executes?

And since you don't say anything about what version/distro of Linux, what you wrote the program in, or any details about anything (except "computer hangs"), how can we diagnose a problem?

Modify your code; step through it, and figure out where it dies. And spell/write more clearly, please.

I am using kernel version 2.6.18.1 ...... i cant put print messages as it hangs as soon as I insert module....i hav to restart the PC....
I hav defined fields of scsi_host_template and registered a device and then bus and then created driver_fs_files of the device....
