desktop has wave affect


Hello, My desktop on my laptop dell latitude d410 with ubuntu 8.04 that I just installed on it, the screen has a rolling or wave affect when scrolling up or down. How do I Can I fix this. Thank you

If you're not using compiz check your resolution settings. If you are using compiz turn off the water effect in the Compiz Config Settings Manager (ccsm).

If you don't have it in your menu, you need to install it using the Synaptic Package Manager.
