Hi All;
I have a Dell Scalable Disk System 100, which my system sees, under Disk Utility, and it states that the drive is formatted or Partitioned as an Apple Partition Map.. and so it doesn't know what it is...
What I would like to do is look at the files (partitions) and mount it and copy it to a DVD, before I format the Drives and Erase all of the Data..I got it from a friend, who says it has family stuff on it, so I would like to save the information before I erase it and try to sell it.. I need the room... its too crowded here. when I try to mout it the mount request asks for a filetype and I don't know what to give.. So what should I mount it as I have /dev/sdb1 (, but not the file type) -t ??? ... has anyone dealt with Apple Partition Map ?????
THANK YOU Marty
Hi All;
Yes, I was just wondering if DD would work, I could then copy it to a stick and then use this machine to make the DVD with... So, Thank You !!!!
This is very helpful... If this works, I wouldn't need to worry about what kind of file it is.. I could put it on the DVD's and when my friend asks about it I would just give Him the dvd's....
THANK YOU Marty
