Question debugging without source code

Is it possible to debug a linux program (in C or C++) if I don't have the source code? What debugger should I use?

You can debug it without source, but it's going to be in assembly, not C. If you don't know any ASM it'd be quite the experience and unless you have an abundance of free time, I don't recommend it.
