debian "when has been installed"


Hi
i have one debian server, I want to know when debian has been installed on this server.
thanks for any help

maybe /var/log/dpkg.log can help?

Or ls -l /var/log/installer.

what is inside /var/log/installer/ dir that helps me ?? you mean, date of files inside this dir??
unfortunately /var/log/dpkg.log has been rotated.

Of course. Linux does not store the date of installation anywhere, so you have to look for some file which has been modified during the installation and never touched till today. /var/log/installer contains the installation logs. Their timestamp is the date you installed the system.
