Smile Debian on Classic II

Hi,
I'm trying to install Debian on a classic II the problem is I only have 2mb of ram. System 7 uses most of it leaving me with 714k. I can't run the installation because Penguin won't boot it. It says:
*** There appears to be no physical memory contiguously
large enough for a kernel (0x00000003 MB).
I've tried allocated all the memory to penguin and even tried giving a bear minimum. I know I could spend $20 to upgrade to 10mb (the maximum) but I was hoping I wouldn't have to.
Is there a smaller kernel for m68k macs?

Nice, a Classic II, my first linux install was on an old Quadra 800.

I know people say linux can be loaded on anything, and its a nice challange and a good way to learn but sometimes its worth admitting defeat. To be honest its not worth spending $20 on it because what are you going to be able to do with it once you get it working?

I was wondering if it could be networked through a quadra with ipnetrouter using phonenet adapters to get the internet.

It would probably run out of RAM loading the first page that is if you could even get a brower to run (Unless your going to run it as a terminal client).
