copy linux files to new windows os


hi guys,
i want to transfer my files from linux OS to Windows OS. how can i do that if I forgot my username and password of linux? is it still possible? thanks

Not possible to transfer if you have forgotten the username and password of Linux box. If you have got root access or privileged access to Linux box then you can reset the password for your account and then initiate the transfer.

You could boot the Linux box to a Linux Live CD of something or other, mount the hard drive to the live distro, and access your files in that manner.
