Post Converting apache from http to https

I've been asked to convert a cacti webpage from http to https. I'm running RHEL 5.8. I need to load a SSL cert and redirect all inquires from port 80 to 443. The only file I've found on my own is to edit the /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf file. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I haven't done it but I agree with the action.

Knowing if this is for security like personal data, that may require some other thinking and steps.
If this is an option for https or http then that is a different issue.

I assume that apache is the server.
