HI,Everyone,
Could some kind person help me ?
I am running a new built system with the following componants:- AsusA8N-VM CSM Motherboard (int/graphics)
AMD Athlon 64 processor,32&64 bit computing.with 640kb cache. operates at 2400MHZ. 3800+
A Seagate Barracuda 250 GB Hard-drive.
And have a Kingston 1g 400Mhz DDR Ram stick.
I have tried " Lycoris"Linus and found it quite good, but uninstalled same to try "Open Suse 10/2" But cannot seem to make connection to server.running int/connection test failed, and the test log says:- etho. Device: nVidia Corporation MC51 Ethernet Controller(Rev a1) no configuration found for eth-id-00:15:f2:52:e6c
It also tells me that my paradise server is unknown. Forgot to mention ,I am using 64 k modum for connecting.
Thanks again in hopefull anticipation

Your system is trying DHCP, but it fails for some reason. Apart from that, the NIC driver is running and well. Are you using that NIC? If it's for a small home network (as you write it's not your Internet connection), you probably simply need to configure a static address (like 192.168.1.1) for your computer.
