I recently downloaded the ubuntu 20.04 distribution. When i connect to my home wifi, it shows connected but I am not able to use internet i.e the pages keep loading forever.
Note : This happens only for my home wifi. When I use my mobile wifi hotspot it works just fine so I figured my wireless adapter is fine. The wired connections to the network, however, works. The only problem is wireless connection to my home wifi only.
I am even able to ping my router which means I am connected to it.
Outputs of some other commands I thought might be relevant

If that responds, you likely have a DNS problem, since you can ping an ip address, but not a URL. If it doesn't respond, ping your router. If your router responds, you're not getting past your router to the big wide world. If the router doesn't respond, you're not getting a good connection to the router itself.
Also try traceroute to the various addresses; that will give you some hint as to where the connections are going awry. See man traceroute for more.
If all these tests fail, the next test would be to connect with a wired connection and repeat the tests. If the wired connection works and the wireless doesn't and you can make wireless connections with other devices, there's something going on with your wireless component in the computer.
Sorry about the duplicate post. The previous post is already closed so I cannot delete it.
And yes, my wifi works in all other devices and even in the windows OS in this dual booted system.
I carried out the operations specified in the second post.

However in this case both ping and ping4 works fine.
I think you were right, I am not getting past my router to the www. And since I am able to ping my router and even use
other wifi networks, I think my wireless device is working fine. Just the packets are not forwarded by the router.
And I tried to ping 8.8.8.8 using wifi and it didn't work either.
You allowed only some devices in your home router?
In my fritzbox I can for example restrict the access to a device list and others coming visiting me cannot access internet (I must change the setup). One time, I was wondering why a visitor cannot access internet and after a few time scratching my head I remembered I made restrictions (probably in a late evening with a glas of wine ;-)
In fact now even ubuntu app store is not opening. I don't know how to solve the problem. Should I remove ubuntu altogether and dual boot my system again?

Since this version of Ubuntu is a very recent install, and known to have issues, I would recommend just downloading something less problematic and doing a fresh install over the Ubuntu. Mint, MintDE, Q4OS, Elementary, and Manjaro are known and among the very solid options.
I would first do a reinstall of Ubuntu, wiping out the partitions created for the install and reusing that space.
Then check if the problem exists in the newly installed system with no changes.
As was stated above, this seems like a dns resolver issue.
To verify if the issue is network or dns, when you see this type issue try a ping to the IP on the internet. 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8 are good to try. If the ping to the ip does work but the ping to a hostname does not then it is definitely dns related.

As mentioned above, I don't think its a dns issue because I am able able to ping both ip and hostnames. It just does not work for a specific wifi network, but for others, it works fine. I have pasted above the traceroute command output in the previous post. It seems that the wifi router does not forwards the packets to the web.
Note - There is nothing wrong in the wifi network itself because my other devices work.
I've never seen something like this before, being connected through two network interfaces.
Many times in the past when I encountered something like this I would copy the nameserver address from a working Linux's /etc/resolv.conf over to the failing Linux /etc/resolv.conf.
Having two interfaces on two different networks is common, some even have multiples of that. The biggest hurdle is getting the routing properly configured.
