connect to another linux via (LPT1)


hi.

i have a problem in connecting from my desktop pc (using mandrake linux 10)
to my notebook(IBM Think Pad 600e) via LPT(Printer Port)

in Windows we can connect computers with LPT.

how can i Connect Them in Linux?

I've never heard of such a thing, and a quick google didn't return any results on this being possible. But my reccomendation would be to use ethernet.

but i did it in windows

thankx for reply.

but i do it in windows. and connect with cable connection that use LPT port.

its Slow But I need it.

It's not like direct cable connection on windows though.... I think. ( that's what you are talking about right? )

another question i have is :

i am a windows programmer.i start programming from 11 years old.

first i have a commodore 64.i write some programm on it with basic2.

then i start programming in perl,c,c++,VB,Delphi

now i use delphi to write my programms.

i want to write some programms in linux.

what should i know?

can i write programm on kdevelop with object pascal.

thanx so much

I suggest that you post this on the programming forum instead. I don't do pascal or kdevelop so i can't help.
