Configuring Actiontec GT701 for Linux RedHat 9

I recently acquired DSL via Qwest. The unit I have is the Actiontec GT701. I have already set up all the computers with wireless connection. I have a desktop that a can swap hard-drives, thus being able to pick my OS for whatever purpose. I would like to configure my RH9 drive via my NIC for connection to the Internet. If I use the address for the modem and access the non-windows configuration set-up, will I the current set-up continue to function?
