hello i am running redhat 9 i have got intel(R) celeron(R) CPU 2.00GH anyway my question is i want to download a windows file for a friend as the file is so large i want to know how to compress it but as my friend is running windows xp will he be able to decompress the file when he gets it any help is appreciated thanks
If he has winzip or winrar any compression will do, bzip2 will be the smallest.
If he doesn't have those, XP has zip builtin, so zip with the 'zip' command.
