Question complete beginner needs help

help me

I want to learn this Linux stuff. I have no money, and im using an old laptop (an opti, never heard of it) it is a P75, 8Mb ram, 500Mb h/d, and covered with dust.

I have loaded zipslack 8.1. I can log on as root, but what now!!

Can anyone recommend some slackware manuals to read from the web.

The laptop has a PE-200 PCMCIA ethernet card (what ever that is) and i would like to be able to add it to a network.

Please keep it simple

This is the online Slackware book at Slackware's site: http://www.slackware.com/book/ and this page has information that might help with your pcmcia card.
