Compile systemimager from source

Can someone tell me step by step, how to compile the source for systemimager? I've googled it and searched here, but haven't found a solution. I am able to install the rpm and dependencies, but want to compile from source since I don't know how.

There are more than one way to install from source.
1) get the .src.rpm and build a binary rpm to install.
2) compile from tarball. Check the contents of the tarball for files INSTALL and README. One of them should have the directions for compiling.

What is the difference between compiling the .bz2 file and getting a src.rpm? Also, sometimes there is no src.rpm and only the .bz2 file which is why I'd want to know how to do it with the .bz2.

Specifically, I'd like to do this with system imager. There is no support for the tarballs anymore and the INSTALL is not there...and the README tells me to go to .../support which basically just tells me the install by source is not supported.

I'm still learning, so if anyone can tell me very specific commands to compile and install...that'd be great.
